In March 2026, Professor Paula Jarzabkowski chaired the 11th annual meeting of the International Forum for Terrorism Risk (Re)Insurance Pools (IFTRIP) in Sydney, on the topic of Terrorism Risk and Resilience for the Pacific Rim in an Unpredictable Era.
Among the wealth of knowledge exchanged over the 2 days, she found the simulation exercise on ‘When Borders Blur’ particularly insightful on the ramifications when geopolitical risk spills across contexts.
The forum was an important place to learn from new policy, thought leadership and research into public-private initiatives to stabilise socio-economic systems in the face of growing uncertainty.
